The first time that I had ever heard of "The Cat Dancers", was while watching an episode of the Animal Planet television series, "Fatal Attractions." The series dealt with the true stories of people who keep very dangerous wild animals such as tigers, panthers, snakes, monitors and other reptiles, chimpanzees, bears, hippos, bucks, even buffalo as personal pets - believing that these animals could actually form a bond with them - that they could tame the "wild" out of them. In most cases, it cost them their lives.
This is the episode regarding "The Cat Dancers" ...
The video is really disturbing - - such a tragedy.
ReplyDeleteIn my humble opinion, I feel this is a form of cruelty to animals. The owners of these exotic pets undoubtedly have good intentions, but this kind of unnatural captivity is devastating to the animals.
I COMPLETELY AGREE with you, Jon! These people have absolutely NO business what-so-ever keeping these animals in captivity! Unfortunately, some States allow this nonsense! UNREAL!!
DeleteA very tragic story and then the animal gets blamed and put down when its just being its natural self. Amazing how people can be so stupid
ReplyDeleteI totally agree with you , CJ. It should be illegal anywhere to have an exotic wild animal as a "pet"! Like Jon pointed out, it is a form of animal cruelty at the very least.
